Before and After School

Everyday Magic

Everyday Magic provides onsite childcare before and after school. Before-school hours start at 7:30am After-school hours end at 6:00pm. The program offers a wide variety of activities to provide children and youth with many opportunities for success and positive self-expression. Focus is placed on meeting the individual needs of children and provide an environment that encourages the discovery of their talents. The staff works with children to build trusting communication to help them through their various stages and assist with resolution and improved decision-making processes.Everyday Magic Website

Morning Cantonese Program (MCP)

In the Cantonese program, there are 5 levels, including: (1) Beginner, (2) Advanced Beginner, (3) Intermediate, (4) Advanced Intermediate ((5) Advanced. Classes begin at 8:15 A.M. and end at 9:15 A.M. on schools days at the Community Room of Lakeshore School. Level 1 does not require any Chinese experience. Level 2 is for students who speak some Cantonese and have limited Chinese writing experience. All other levels need to be tested before enrollment, if not progressing from a lower level. ExCEL

(Expanded Collaboratives for Excellence in Learning) ExCEL’s mission is to create and sustain “safe havens” at public schools where students and community members can access expanded learning opportunities and integrated education, health, social service, and cultural programs in the out-of-school hours. Piano Lessons

Lessons are conducted in the Multi Purpose Room. All books/materials are furnished free with this course. Class fee for this course is $130.00 per session, per child. All grades are accepted.
