The Annual Giving Campaign is Lakeshore’s biggest fundraiser that happens from late-September through mid-October of each year. It is a direct request for support and monetary donations to give extra support to our teachers and fund programs that benefit all Lakeshore students. With the Annual Giving Campaign we can eliminate small fundraisers and raise about 70% of Lakeshore PTA’s budget.
We warmly welcome and need ALL levels of participation and giving. Utilize your network of friends and family to increase your family’s donation total! As always, choose a donation amount that fits your family’s finances and know that every dollar makes a difference.

Every student was sent home with an Annual Giving Campaign packet that has a flyer and a donation envelope. Please check your student’s backpack.

How to Donate
- Donate online by credit card or Paypal
- Donate at school by cash or check – return the donation envelope with cash or check that was sent home to:
- Your child’s teacher
- PTA donation box at office
- AGC table outside the Eucalyptus gate on Thursdays 9/28, 10/5 & 10/12 after school
- Donate by mail with check – please include the following and mail to: Lakeshore PTA (AGC), 220 Middlefield Dr., San Francisco, CA 94132
- a check payable to Lakeshore Elementary PTA
- print and fill out this from or just provide donor name and email; student name and room #
If you need extra cash/check donation envelopes, please get more from the office, our AGC table, or our school bulletin board.

- What does my donation support?
- Your donation supports three main things at Lakeshore:
- Enrichment Programs: our enrichment programs —Motor Perception, Studio Art, Science in the Garden, Yoga, and Capoeira — are 100% funded by the PTA through your donations. Though the programs might varies a little from year to year but the first 3 are our signature programs and have been around for a long time. These extra programs complement teachers’ weekly curriculum and enrich our children’s experience at Lakeshore. Please go here to learn more about these wonderful programs.
- Teachers and Classrooms: each year the PTA provides all teachers with a classroom grant so that they don’t have to pay out of pocket for extra supplies or materials that they will need. A classroom set-up fund is also provide to every new teacher starting at Lakeshore. We want our teachers feel supported and appreciated for taking care of our children.
- School Events: the PTA hosts community events through out the year. These PTA funded events and special programs breathe life into our community, adding excitement to students’ school experience and filling the years families spend at Lakeshore with meaningful friendships. - Your donation supports three main things at Lakeshore:
- Do you accept employer matching donations?
- Yes, absolutely! Please check out our Employer Matching Donations page for more information. Please reach out to us (agc-dl@LakeshoreElementary.org) if you had any questions.
- Is my donation tax deductible?
- Yes! Your donation is 100% tax deductible as law allows. Lakeshore PTA is a 501c3 organization (Federal Tax ID# 94-3042896).
- Do I have to write my donation amount on the donation envelope?
- No. But if you are donating cash, please note the amount inside the envelope so we know the amount checks out. Having the amount on the envelope helps us accounting the money but we totally understand you wouldn’t want to to do if you are handing it to the teacher.
- I’m willing to pledge a large sum but can’t pay all at once. Can I pay monthly?
- Yes! We do have monthly donation option for our online donation.
- Can friends and family donate?
- Yes! The more the merrier! They can use the same method to donate as you. Just make sure they list the student and room number in order to get credit toward prizes!
- Prizes?! There are prizes?
- Yes! The entire school enjoys a dance party if we make our overall goal. We also have class prizes for the top 5 classrooms with the most raised or the highest percent participation.
- Can I donate for every student in my child’s class to win a 100% participation award for our class?
- No. Only donations made in the name of the student’s family and friends will be counted toward class participation percentages. However, all of the money you donate will count toward the total amount raised.
- What else is a part of the Annual Giving Campaign?
- We have three fun Spirit Day themes on the following Fridays:
- 9/29 Fall Colors Day
- 10/6 Class Color Day
- 10/13 School Colors Day (red and black)

- How do I order spirit gear for School Colors Day?
- Make a request by Tuesday, October 10 at the latest, and we’ll shoot to deliver in time for the final School Colors Day on Oct 13. We will have spirit gears available for our after school AGC table (just outside the Eucalyptus gate) on Thursday Oct 12; so you pick up your order at our table or purchase them there.
