Congratulations on your placement at Lakeshore Elementary School. We welcome you and your family to our diverse community. Your child will soon enjoy a rich curriculum with our wonderful classroom teachers in a beautiful natural environment. They will participate in several creative enrichment programs and explore a wide variety of gardens that provide science curriculum opportunities as well as experiential learning.
You will be receiving a letter in June with details about Orientation. For now, the Lakeshore PTA welcomes you to attend several school events as well as a series of summer playdates and welcome events.
- Science Fair – Wednesday, March 23 from 5-7 PM in the Community Room
- New Family Welcome and Tour – Friday, March 25 from 10-11:30 AM in the lobby
- Lakeshore Spring Auction – Saturday, April 9 from 6-10 PM at Donworth Hall, the Parish Center at St. Stephen – 2 FREE ADMISSIONS for incoming families with the flyer from registration
- Superhero Saturday – Saturday, April 23 from 11-3 PM at Lakeshore
- First Friday Coffee and Donuts – Friday, May 6 from 9:15-10 AM in the lobby
- Multicultural Potluck – Friday, May 13 at 6 PM in the Community Room

- Sunday, June 12, 11-2 PM at Junipero Serra Playground (300 Stonecrest Dr., SF)
- Sunday, July 10, 11-2 PM at Junipero Serra Playground (300 Stonecrest Dr., SF)
- Saturday, August 13, 11-2 PM on the Kindergarten yard at Lakeshore or Junipero Serra Playground (pending completion of construction; check website prior to date for location)
- New Family Orientation – Thursday, August 11 from 6-7:30 PM
- This is an orientation for all new families where you will get your classroom assignment.
- Kindergarten parents and students will meet their teachers.
- All other new families will be able to tour the school and see classrooms in advance of “Back to School Night.”
- This is an event for all family members – siblings are welcome!
